These WILL NOT fit the newest (2024) Harbor Freight 1000lbs, or 2000lbs stands. They made the top tube much smaller on the new version. PLEASE MEASURE YOUR TUBE DIAMETER BEFORE ORDERING. These have a 2 3/8" tube.
This engine stand yoke will not work with the short extra tube rotating handle that comes with some of the V8 style stands. The handle is unnecessary on a lightweight VW or Porsche engine, and you can just use the engine itself as a handle. A fully dressed engine will still rotate easily without the short tube handle.
If you are looking to buy a new portable engine stand, I have ordered one of these, and they are ideal. Well made, a nice wide base, and you can fit a lift cart under it to get the engine off the stand

If you are using this on an '80's 911, you will need to remove the exhaust cross-over to be able to mount the stand to the engine.

Fast delivery of a well thought out and assembled product. I built my own bench mount for the yoke. Fits the case half like a glove. Way better than my old two arm stand. Hold the cad solid making assembly easier.
It will probably be a one time use item for me, but compared to the few other products on the market, there is nothing even close in build quality and fit. I already had the early HF engine stand, so it's great. Thank you for making this! The only comment I have is: it's not a big deal, but why not include a proper spacer, to complete the package?

I bought this yoke to use on the Speedway engine stand that Type E recommends. It works perfectly and is very well made. I painted mine black and it looks good.
