This complete lowering suspension kit is designed for VW Beetles and Ghias. Carefully selected parts will get your car lowered with matched front and rear components. We have options for pre-1966, 1966-1968, and 1969-on IRS models.
Kits include;
4" narrowed adjustable beam made from laser cut DOM tube, with 3/8" laser cut and CNC formed shock towers.
Custom CNC machined white Delrin beam bushings.
2" dropped adjustable spring plates.
Drum brake drop spindles.
New narrowed torsion springs.
New Narrowed tie-rods with top quality Meyle tie-rod ends.
New KYB front shocks.
Febi brand rubber steering coupler.
Aluminum caster shims.
New Super Slam Gabriel rear shocks.
The red 1961 has Empi 4.5 and 6" fuchs, with 135 front, and 205/70/15 rear tires.
The blue patina 1966 has Empi 4.5 and 6" fuchs with 145, and 205/70/15 tires.
The red 1965 has Empi 4.5 and 5.5 fuchs, with 165/60/15, and 205/65/15 tires.
The light blue 1968 has 4 lug Gas Burner repro wheels, 175/55/15, and 205/65/15 tires.

Well get yourself The Whole Enchilada! This kit is the perfect set-up for any vintage VW enthusiast looking to lower your Bug or Ghia (as in my case). I feel there’s a lot of confusion out there when it comes to lowering classic VW’s, well Type E has methodically designed a true lowering kit that eliminates all the guesswork! This kit allows for the perfect stance when choosing multiple wheel/tire combinations. Plus, at today’s crazy prices on everything, this kit offers the best bang for your buck!

I installed the complete kit in a couple days and immediately drove it 2 hours away to a show without any shake down miles. I didnt have any problems. Quality of the product is great. Install went smooth and Brian was quick with responses when I emailed him with questions.
